Cooling Kelowna - Meet the Candidates on Oct 7th

Kelowna is confronting the dire consequences of a hotter, more volatile climate. After another devastating wildfire, the risks are hard to ignore. Extreme heat, wildfire, drought and severe weather threaten our tourism economy, agriculture, public health and emergency services, and ultimately Kelowna’s reputation as a desirable place to live, work, visit and invest.

Our next Mayor and Council will make critical choices about how we protect Kelowna’s economy, our community and our quality of life, while accelerating action to reduce the emissions driving these risks.

We’re asking candidates five questions to move beyond general statements and identify the climate actions they would actively support. Responses will be posted on the Vote4Tomorrow online survey tool, with results released October 1st. Let’s see which candidates have a clear plan for a hotter, more climate-resilient Kelowna.
