About the event
On Monday, March 4 the Kelowna Climate Coalition is hosting an informal town hall meeting at the downtown Kelowna Public Library (1380 Ellis Street). Come check us out and consider joining the coalition to stop climate inaction!
We are a volunteer organization inspiring political and personal climate action in Kelowna.
We don’t have a lengthy agenda, but some of the items we will discuss are:
· Who we are and what we hope to accomplish over the next three years.
· Want to get involved? We can always use some extra help, be it ongoing or even a half hour when we have a short-term project.
· Eight out of nine city councillors voted in favour of declaring a climate crisis, yet several are unsure as to what more the city can do. We have ideas!
· The upcoming provincial housing legislation and potential impacts on our city.
